Most of the walkers were through RA2 by 1030.
Everyone is feeling hot, hot, hot, but still soldiering on.

The first of the BDWF walkers to stop has just left us, expecting more soon. The heat is much as it was yesterday, squash is ready for the walkers as they arrive.

Anyone with pictures from the march please bring them to me or to the office and write a note about who/what/where and I can add them to the blog!

Coach times will be 30 minutes early for the 30 and 40km walkers!!!
Tuesday 19 July – Early start on Wednesday (30, 40 and 40 military)
For the second marching day, the organisation decided to start thirty minutes earlier for the 30 km, 40km and 40 km military. The 50/55km starts at the scheduled time. Eat and drink sufficiently this evening. Try to do as many kilometres as possible in the coolness of the morning. Keep drinking during the day.

Lights are out and most people are sleeping; except of course the wonderful crew who keep the place running whilst we sleep.
Dave, Carl, Sue and Lisa make sure all the walkers and support staff are woken up at the right time and solve any problems that occur overnight.
Shh… when you come back from the walk they are still trying to get their beauty sleep!
Chris.
Frankie and the other walkers on the 30 km route have been seeing the sights along the way, including a giant heart made from walking shoes painted red, white and blue.
Everyone had a good, if hot, day.
Back at the sports hall, fed and watered, now heading to the first aid room.
Updates to come from the 30km route and others.
Chris.
The 30 km team has just left RA3, almost all walkers have been through.
Dom says, “it’s rather hot!” or words to that effect!
We can’t disagree, it was quoted as 32 degrees at 3 o’clock. Not long now, and then back to base.

Barry and his merry band of cadets have just been through. All feeling the heat but still singing load and proud. Our two boys in scrubs are here looking cool and comfortable and enjoying the day. Not far to go now
